Taqueria Ramirez: Authentic Mexican Flavors in Florence, KY

My first bite of my meal in this small unassuming restaurant took me back to flavors and tastes I haven't had since I was in Mexico. Simply amazing! The flashback was so strong I immediately came to write a review. I'm still enjoying my meal! Do yourself a favor and drop by here. It my new favorite taqueria by miles!

I'm staying in a hotel down the street and was excited to find a restaurant nearby that wasn't a big chain. Service great and the food was even better- I had the enchiladas suizas and they were delicious! The prices were very reasonable too, but do note that everything on the menu is +$1 from what is printed (there is a notice on the front of the menu).

Hole-in-the-wall taqueria in Florence, KY with great birria and al pastor tacos. Their salsas are pretty good too, but their chips are pretty disappointing. Service can be hit or miss as I'm a gringo and don't speak a lick of Spanish. Fortunately the servers are polite and patient with this foodie cracker. Very authentic and definitely recommend.

Amazed Didn't expect to find authentic Mexican fare in KY, boy was I surprised! Great lunche! Got the guacamole & quesadilla Camerone Could not believe they actually have Zanahorias jalapeños (spicy pickled carrots in jalapeno & oil) on each table. Something I haven't experienced since California decades ago.

Delicious Authentic Mexican and everything was soooo good. Service was top notch.

I saw this place online and wanted to try it. The first time around we went on a busy Tuesday night and service was mediocre we had a couple of margaritas and a few tacos. Food was fantastic The second time around we had a server named Angela and she made the experience worth while The food tastes the same way my grandma makes her food. I had the huaraches with steak on it. The steak portion is pretty friendly and the avocado on top was soo good! I also wanted to try the tabla de tripa and lengua just to see what the hype was about and they were pretty fresh. Sometimes you go places and they give you some dried out crusty pieces but this seemed pretty fresh! I also had a big cup of coffee and it was made the same way my grandma makes it and that’s when they boil the water with cinnamon sticks. If you really want to try some authentic dishes try the huaraches you won’t regret it! That being said if I’m ever in that area I’m going to go back!
